Hallucinogens are psychoative drugs that are classified into three main groups Deliriants, Psychedelics, and Dissociatives. These psychoative drugs are different from others like opiods, and stimulants,which amplify familiar states of mind unlike hallucinogens that seem to bring out different states of mind such as dreams and crazy mindfuck.
Hallucinogens are used for religious purposes and have sculpted into modern Western Civialization.
Deliriants Deliriants are commonly known for their extreme realalistic hallucinations and intense uncomfort. Well known deliriants are Diphenhydramine,Datura,Mandrake,Atropine Belladonna,Henbane,Amanita Muscaria, and Nutmeg.Effects of deliriants are auditory and visual hallucinations, best well described as voluntary schizophrenia. As they put your mind through disturbing stiuations. For example there are reports of people seeing insects(mostly spiders,tacos,and flies), talking to people who don't exist, objects morphing, shadows moving, non-existent conversations in the room next to you, confusion and forgetfulness, watching T.V. while its shut off and many more.
There are myths about the use of deliriants throughout the middle ages in Europe. There were
many uses for deliriants during this time period including meducinal reasons. Most /dels/ are very deadly and can be fatal but also if used correctly can have medical advantages.
Pychedelics Pychedelics have a vast variety of drugs and can include Cannabinoids and MDMA, through psilocybeand LSD. Pychedelics bring out hidden states of mind. In other words they create great feelings of euphoria, and an inner peace with ones self or great insight to life.
Psychedelics relate to most drugs but are most well known for their hallucinations and visual
distortions. A common pyche that creates a great deal of hallucinations is LSD. Along with others such as psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, DOB, Peyote, and mescaline. Psychedelics are usually safe to use but rarely have fatal effects.
Dissociatives Dissociatives are well known for their "out of body" experiences. They create feelings of depersonalization and being like a dream. Common /dis/ drugs are PCP, DXM, Salvia, Amanita mushrooms, and nitrous oxide.
