Resin

Resin is a sticky substance that forms on the inside of most cannabis smoking devices. It is essentially condensed cannabis smoke and can be smoked in concentrated quantities for a decent high.

[edit] Harvesting resin
Resin may be harvested from virtually any piece. While it is possible to use a sharp object to scrape the resin from your piece, this is usually a bad idea because of the low yield. Be careful when doing this - there is a risk of breaking glass pieces and ripping giant holes in your hands or getting little bits of metal/plastic in your resin (if your piece is not glass). There is not a better way to do it, but if you wanna try the alcohol way....>:V
[edit] The alcohol method
This method will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
[edit] Materials
- A resin-covered piece
- Isopropyl alcohol (91% or higher)
- A large dish
- A hair dryer
[edit] Procedure
- Fill the resin-covered piece half-way with isopropyl alcohol and cover all holes with your fingers
- Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds
- Empty the darkish liquid onto the dish
- Repeat steps 1-3 two more times
- Use the hair dryer to evaporate the alcohol and water in the dish (be careful not to send the liquid flying)
- Scrape up the black and brown residue with your fingers and form into a ball
- Play with resin ball to remove most of the moisture from it
- Wash your hands (with isopropyl alcohol if necessary)
